Thrombosis

A thrombosis is a clot that blocks the blood - read here as the joy of life and the circulation of love - from flowing freely. One tradition reads the clotting specifically as a disappointment in love: when love is felt to have failed, the blood that carries love is read as congealing, and one hardens. The pattern is feeling alone and burdened, joy drained, life stagnant, neglected and misunderstood as if there were no love left within, growing inflexible and fighting every change. The short explanation's "severe resistance to life" is exactly that hardened, love-disappointed refusal. Relief is described as letting joy and love circulate again - meeting the disappointment in love rather than congealing around it - and daring to release the position one clings to.
