Schizophrenia
Schizophrenia
An insurmountable desire to escape from the reality of life.
Schizophrenia is read as a way of hiding one's true identity from oneself and others - often shaped, in this framework, by growing up in so rigid a family frame that one lost one's sense of who one is, and so "became someone else." It is read as a distress solution to overwhelming stress: feeling there is no solution and that the only survival is to flee, while living in a felt climate of threat that distorts reality. The short explanation's "an insurmountable desire to escape from the reality of life" is exactly that flight from an unbearable situation and a lost sense of self. Relief is described, in that framework, as gently recovering one's own identity and a sense of safety - with the support that so serious a condition requires.
(Note: this is a metaphysical interpretation, not a medical account. Schizophrenia is a serious condition requiring professional care.)
Example from the findings: schizophrenia is read as fleeing a lost identity under overwhelming threat, becoming someone else to survive.
