Phlebitis

Phlebitis blocks the blood in the legs - which carry us toward life's destinations - so it is read as a loss of joy that limits one's freedom to move. The pattern often follows a brutal event experienced with great incomprehension that hems one in, along with a sharp held anger - wanting to "bite someone" - and a sense of being obliged to keep lifting up another, often a partner who sees everything darkly.
