Paradontosis (Degeneration of the Gums)

Gum disease (receding gums)

Lack of inner strength and conviction, or failing to act upon one’s own knowledge. There is also a need to be more forceful in all interactions, instead of being timid.

Degeneration of the gums is read as the foundation under one's "bite" on life wearing away. The gums are the base on which the teeth - one's capacity to grasp and act decisively - rest; their breakdown is read as a long erosion of inner strength and conviction, a timidity that fails to act on what one knows, with sadness and helplessness at feeling unheard and unable to assert oneself. The short explanation's "lack of inner strength and conviction... a need to be more forceful in all interactions, instead of being timid" is exactly that eroding foundation. Relief is described as rebuilding one's conviction, speaking up, and acting with the force one has been holding back.

Example from the findings: receding gums are read as the foundation of one's resolve eroding under timidity and unspoken conviction.
