Lumbago, Mid-back

Mid-back pain

Lack of action.

The middle back carries guilt together with a sense of being unsupported. The mechanism: weighed down by guilt - often about the past, or about things one feels they "should" have done - and at the same time feeling they lack backing from others, the person becomes stuck. That stuckness shows up as an inability to take action or move forward: they hold back, hesitate and stay put rather than stepping into change. The inaction named in the short explanation is the behavioural result of the guilt-and-pressure: feeling unsupported and guilty, the person freezes instead of acting. Relief is described as releasing the past - letting go of accumulated guilt - so one feels free to move forward again.

Example from the findings: the characteristic stance is a "get off my back" feeling of being pressured or burdened by others' demands, and a sense of being "stuck in all that stuff back there."
