Impotence

Impotence is read through guilt: a guilt that quietly drains the organs of their will to respond. The pattern is read as a man who carries guilt and so is easily blamed - taking accusations to heart even while protesting them - particularly around feeling unable to provide or to measure up as a man, with fear about meeting life's material demands.
