Hypothyroidism (Underactive Thyroid)

Underactive thyroid / Low thyroid

Discouragement and a silenced self-expression - feeling unheard and resigned, the inner fire turned down.

An underactive thyroid sits at the throat - the body's centre of expression - and is read as a turning-down of one's inner fire and voice. The pattern is discouragement: feeling morose, defeatist and misunderstood, the body sending an "S.O.S." One tradition reads the throat's trouble as a "double fear" that dams one's self-expression - the fear that drew a hard situation near, and the fear that will not let it go - so one's wants and one's will go unspoken and the gland slows. The short explanation's discouraged, silenced resignation is exactly that. Relief is described as letting one's true voice and will through, easing the fears, and rekindling one's own sense of purpose.

(Note: this is a metaphysical interpretation; hypothyroidism needs proper medical diagnosis and treatment.)

Example from the findings: the slowed thyroid is read as discouragement and a silenced self-expression, the inner fire turned down.
