Humeroscapular Periarhtritis (Pain and Limited Movement in the Shoulder Joint)

Frozen / painful shoulder

Feelings of carrying too much responsibility.

The shoulders are read as what we carry our burdens on - our joys, sorrows, responsibilities and insecurities. Pain and stiffness in the shoulder are read as carrying too much: making oneself responsible for others' happiness, feeling there is "too much to do" and that one can never finish, and feeling unsupported, imposed upon, or prevented from acting, until one feels crushed and ready to "lower one's arms." The short explanation's "feelings of carrying too much responsibility" is exactly that. Relief is described as setting down what is not one's to carry, asking for support, and letting one's shoulders be lightened.

Example from the findings: the painful, stiff shoulder is read as carrying too much responsibility - others' burdens added to one's own.
