Colds

Common cold

Suppressed emotions.

A cold is read as congestion that follows emotional overload. The pattern is mental confusion - too many things at once, not knowing where to turn, crushed by obligations - and underneath, a backlog of emotions waiting to be released. The streaming and tears are often something one needs to cry about but will not admit; the blocked nose, a person or situation one cannot stand the "smell" of and wants to avoid. The cold itself grants a pause: a few days to keep one's distance from others and reconnect with oneself. The short explanation's "suppressed emotions" is exactly that held-back release. Relief is described as letting the feelings - and the tears - flow rather than damming them, and giving oneself the rest the body is asking for.

Example from the findings: the cold is read as a backlog of unshed tears and a needed pause from overwhelming demands.
