Carbuncles (Suppurating and Painful Inflammation of the Subcutaneous Tissue)

Carbuncle (cluster of boils)

Severe suppressed anger and thoughts of revenge.

A carbuncle is read as several boils joined under the skin - a larger eruption of bottled, malevolent anger. The pattern is feeling one's personal freedom has been unjustly and unacceptably hindered, wanting to "rouse the whole neighbourhood" and shout one's indignation, while feeling caught, cornered and powerless, often against a person or organisation in a position of power. An inner combat - head against heart - rages, with one's intuitive, feeling side set aside. The short explanation's "severe suppressed anger and thoughts of revenge" is exactly that cornered, indignant rage. Relief is described as voicing the indignation and reclaiming one's freedom and place, letting the heart's authority back in.

Example from the findings: the carbuncle is read as bottled, indignant rage at a freedom unjustly hindered, erupting where one feels cornered.
