Breathing Difficulties

Shortness of breath / trouble breathing

Excessive mental and/or emotional stress.

Breathing is read as taking life in - through the lungs, in this framework, one inhales life itself and becomes aware that "I exist." So difficulty breathing reads as difficulty fully taking life in: an inner "pain of existing," walls one has built (or society has built) that close one off, and a strain in one's capacity to adapt and let life circulate. The short explanation's "excessive mental and/or emotional stress" is that constricted intake. Relief is described as letting oneself breathe life in freely again, lowering the walls, and airing out the held feelings rather than holding the breath of one's own existence.

Example from the findings: laboured breathing is read as a held-back taking-in of life, an inner pain of existing the lungs cannot air out.
